Planning Kids Parties is a Nightmare!
I never realised planning a party for a ‘soon to be three’ year old could be such a nightmare!
First decision to be made is the venue; should we have it at our house or hire somewhere? Our house would be cheaper, (unless the toddling guests commence out and out warfare upon each other and destroy the family heirlooms!) or should we hire one of the many local ‘soft play’ venues which would take out all the hassle of cleaning up afterwards?!
After much pondering on the cost of buying food, cake, presents, pre filled party bags, paper plates etc. etc. we decided to go with the local kids play venue, who promised to take the stress of the day away!
Job done I thought! Oh no – having decided upon a venue next came a whole load of other decisions; ‘What menu would the party prefer?’, ‘Do we wish to provide our own cake?’, ‘Any special menu requests?’, ‘Do we want pre-filled party bags or do we want to order our own pre-filled party bags toys from a specialist supplier?’
Honestly, if this much planning is needed for a 3rd birthday party I think we’d better start planning now for his 18th and 21st!!
